It is that time of year again, Matariki, Mฤori New Year!
Students:
The first Matariki public holiday will be held on Friday 24 June 2022. By making Matariki into a public holiday it means we will have time to celebrate our unique place in the world, show respect for the beautiful land on which we live and celebrate the diversity of life.

ReplyDeleteTed here from your class. I agree with your statement because if we had a public holiday for matariki it would be good because you could go and see your family for a day instead of a morning and I would be got becuase you could go and see your family if they lived long away.

I agree and I think there should be a holiday for Matariki in NZ because it is one of the important things that we celebrate in NZ and is something that we have done for a long time. Blog you later!
ReplyDeleteKia Ora room 25, I agree with this statement because I heard that they have changed the law that Matariki is a public Holiday which starts in 2022. I am quite happy that we can have a public holiday because we will be able to celebrate and also look up at the sky at night and you don't need to go to bed early. anyways, thank you for checking out my blog, bLog yA lAtEr!
