Roads are Dangerous Places!

This week is Road Safety Week.  We encourage students and families to be safe on their way to and from school.  Please comment on our blog with your safety message. Thank you!



Here are some safety messages from Room 17:

Kini and Veer say...
  1. Look before you cross the road
  2. Use brakes if you are too fast
  3. Make sure you don't text when you cross the road

Annie and Mariam suggest...

  1. Always use your brakes when you go down the hill.
  2. NEVER go on your bike without someone knowing.
  3. NEVER EVER go on the road without an adult.

Isabella and Justus propose...
  1. When you are about to cross the road look both ways before you cross.
  2. When you are biking were a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads.
  3. When you are on a bike or on a scooter make sure you have an adult with you for safety.

Shannon and Mele reckon that...
  1. When you ride a bike or a scooter you should always wear a knee pad,elbow pad and a helmet.
  2. When you’re on a bike you should always look where you're going because you might crash.
  3. And never go on a road without an adult.

Platon and Jeremy think that you should...
  1. Cross the road with an adult
  2. Stop before you cross  stop look and listen for cars.

Ismacil and Tahu decided that...
  1. Road safety is important when you are walking and biking or scootering.
  2. Whenever you cross the street look both ways

Navala and Stephen were thinking...
  1. To ride your scooter or bike or skateboard, you will need knee pads and elbow pads.
  2. No headphones because you need to concentrate on the road or path.
  3. When you cross the road, check before you go.

Aoibheann and Charlotte wisely said...
  1. Never bike or scooter while texting on a device because you can lose control of the handles and fall/crash.
  2. Never listen to loud music on headphones or you might lose concentration what's around you.
  3. Make sure you where a helmet because you could fall and crack your head.
