The honeycombs were put in a centrifuge (kid-powered!) which pulled all of the delicious liquid out, leaving behind only wax.
The end result: Gorgeous, golden honey. Only one thing to do now...

The hard-working bees of Owairaka have been very busy. Room 17 was lucky enough to see the process of honey extraction from the hives. Thank you, Mr Lyons!
