Today we finished up our drama unit on Parvana with a Court of Opinion.
Owing to the themes present in this novel, girls and boys were separated and took an opposite stance on the rights of women and girls in society. Each side presented their case, then took a moment to reflect on any points that the opposite team made that would make them reconsider their position.
There was some very fevered debate, but I think the rational onslaught of the girls' team won the day!
(to the credit of the boys, they played their part as the Voices of Repression extremely well...)
Great photos of your Parvana Drama. Do you have any tips for how to speak well in front of an audience? What could you do if you are feeling nervous?
