Art Exhibition is Open!

ลŒwairaka is proud to present our fabulous Art Exhibition!

Every class has been working very hard this term to produce three different art works:

  • Art based on a NZ or Pasifika artist:
    • Room 25 made masks inspired by Peter Gossage
  • A collaborative art piece with contributions from all students:
    • Room 25 constructed a (mostly) scale city under attack from giant creatures
  • Another piece
    • Room 25 students chose from three options: pencil sketch, Dada art, or animation.

  1. Congratulations Rm 25 on all your amazing artworks at the School Exhibition. I loved the detail in your city and how you had all worked together to create this elaborate city, combining sound and your writing really bought the artwork to life for the viewer. I particularly liked how you used scale, the large buildings and the small people. There were lots of hidden details to find, like the two Super hero's on the buildings. Lots of good techniques to draw viewers in to look carefully. What a great art term you have had. Fantastic you had the opportunity to learn about Dada from Lisa too, art is full of ideas and concepts. Part of being an artist is to react or try to make sense of the world we live in.
