A Slice of History

What a treat! Like stepping back 170 years to 1850, the Howick Historical Village was quite an eye opener for the students. The educators were in full costume and played their roles well.

As well as having a free exploration in small groups (there was actually too much to see in the short time we had), we got to experience a school from 1847, played with toys and games from yesteryear, and explored communication methods such as Braille, Semaphore, and Morse Code.
